The lists of Jubilant Food Works with Quarter III profits

MUMBAI: Indian fast food chain Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd, which listed earlier on Monday, reported a surge in Oct-Dec net profit to 113.7 million rupees, compared with 17.7 million rupees a year ago.

Its total income grew to 1.17 billion rupees from 780.3 million rupees for the quarter. The results were reported over the weekend. The increase in sales and profits was led by new store openings and a rise in orders received by the stores due to higher penetration levels, it said in a statement.

The firm said it expects net profit of 320 million rupees for FY 10 and expects revenues for the fiscal to rise by about half to between 4.15 billion to 4.2 billion rupees, helped by an increase in its scale of operations, it said.

The firm, which runs the Dominos Pizza chain, said the firm plans to open 65-70 new stores in the current fiscal, of which it has opened 55 as of Dec 31, 2009. Jubilant FoodWorks debuted at 164.15 rupees on the BSE, a premium of 13.20 percent over the issue price of 145 rupees per share and rose to a high of 198.5 rupees in early trades.
