Derecognised 44 deemed university in India

New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Human Resources and Development has informed the Supreme Court that it has decided to recognize “deemed” status of 44 universities across the country.
In an affidavit filed by HRD ministry before SC, the ministry said that 44 deemed universities were found unfit while 44 others were asked to rectify the shortcomings while 38 other found doing good job.
